Clinical, laboratory, and demographic variables were analyzed to identify factors associated with hospital stays exceeding five days. Septic shock prior to intervention was identified as the main predictor of prolonged hospitalization. A combined predictive model incorporating septic shock and leukocyte count achieved an AUC of 0.77 and a negative predictive value of 87%.
